Dear Editor:

F.T.C. = Failure To Correct

Almost everyone I know and probably most Post subscribers get one or more illegal Robo-calls daily in violation of the "Do Not Call" law. The F.T.C., who is responsible for enforcing the law, has a 99.9+% failure rate in stopping these millions of calls. Other parts of the government have demonstrated competence in tracking down illegal phone or Internet messages. Isn't it time to let one of these agencies take over enforcement of the law? I have also repeatedly complained to my Congressman and Senators about this problem. Their response, paraphrased, is "Yes. Ain't it awful?" This is part of the reason Congress is so unpopular.

Sincerely yours,

Jan Polissar
